The iPhone 4, was the successor of the the iPhone 3GS, one of the most commercially successful models from Apple’s line of smartphones. Released in the summer of 2010, it was hailed by many as the first truly smart smartphone.
With Apple’s proprietary iOS 5, it combined the best features of the company’s best mobile devices and transformed them into one of the most important inventions of the decade. The simplified interface and responsive menus made reading tracts of text and full-length ebooks without considerable eye strain, a possibility.
Still, the iPhone 4 is best remembered for introducing to the world the Retina Display which was capable of running twice the number of pixels on a standard display. This increased pixel density changed the way users and app developers viewed mobile devices.
